You should avoid facial massage, dental work that involves wide opening, strenuous exercise, and sleeping with pressure on the treated side for at least the first few weeks while the threads set. The exact timeline depends on how many threads were placed and where.
How long does the lifting effect realistically last once the threads begin to dissolve or soften?
The mechanical lift gradually softens as the tissue relaxes and the material degrades, and visible improvement typically lasts for months to about a year or so, not permanently. The result fades slowly rather than disappearing overnight. We discuss a realistic duration range so your expectations match the nature of a temporary lift.
Can misplaced or uncomfortable threads be removed, and will the face return to its previous position?
