Two different operations, often confused
One removes fat. The other removes skin that no longer contracts.
Liposuction reduces fat that stays after diet and exercise. Body contouring removes skin that lost its elasticity after childbirth, repeated weight change or ageing. Both are done under general anaesthesia, and both need a longer stay than any facial procedure — that is the part worth planning around.

Liposuction is not a weight-loss operation. It changes a line, not a number.
Fat cells are drawn out through a micro-cannula, area by area, about an hour and a half each. What changes is the shape of that area — the scale does not move much, and it is not meant to.
Where the skin has already lost the ability to contract, taking fat out alone leaves it looser than before. That case needs the skin removed as well, which is a longer operation with a longer scar and a much longer recovery. Which of the two you need is decided by examining the skin, not by choosing a menu item.

Plan the stay from the stitches, not the flight
Liposuction: one night in, stitches out at seven days, ordinary activity in one to three. Body contouring: two nights in, stitches out at fourteen to twenty days, ordinary activity in five to six. Book the return around the second number, or arrange removal at home before you leave.

General anaesthesia, not sedation
Both operations are done fully asleep. The anaesthesia team is employed here rather than called in per case, and the emergency drug for malignant hyperthermia is kept in the building.

The compression garment is part of the treatment
How the shape settles after liposuction depends on how consistently the garment is worn through the swelling phase. It is fitted here, and how long to keep it on is set for your case rather than quoted as a general number.
