Online consultation
You can settle most of the plan before booking a flight — but not all of it, and it is worth being precise about which half is which.
An online consultation is a consultation and a plan. It is not a diagnosis. Anything that depends on examining tissue, bone or skin in person is confirmed on the day you arrive.
- Which procedures suit what you want to change
- Roughly how long you need to stay in Korea
- What the recovery looks like week by week
- Cost range and what is included
- Which surgeon would take the case
- The final surgical plan
- Measurements that depend on examination or imaging
- Whether an existing implant or previous surgery changes the approach
- Anaesthesia clearance
- Anything that would count as a diagnosis or a prescription
- 0101Send photos and tell us what you want to change.
- 0202A coordinator matches the case to a surgeon and books a time.
- 0303You talk through options, stay length and cost range.
- 0404The plan is confirmed in person on the day you arrive.
Remote care for international patients was written into Korean law in the Act on Supporting Overseas Expansion of Healthcare and Attracting International Patients, but that provision takes effect in May 2027. Until then, remote sessions are consultation and planning only.
How long you need to be in Korea
Stay length is set by the procedure, not by the clinic. The table below is the shape of a typical trip; your surgeon gives you the actual dates after the consultation.
| Day | What happens | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Day 1 | Arrival, in-person consultation, examination, final plan. | Bring any previous operation records you have. |
| Day 2 | Surgery, then rest at the clinic or your accommodation. | Same-day discharge for many procedures; overnight stay for others. |
| Days 3–6 | Swelling checks and dressing changes. | Most patients are indoors for this stretch. |
| Day 7 | Stitch removal for procedures that need it. | This visit is the usual reason a stay runs past a week. |
| After | Flight home once your surgeon clears you. | Do not book a return flight before the plan is confirmed. |
Facial contouring, two-jaw surgery and revision cases need longer than this. Ask for the specific schedule during the consultation rather than working from a general table.
The part that usually gets dropped
Once a patient flies home, most overseas surgery arrangements go quiet. These are the checkpoints Banobagi keeps and who you contact at each one.
The last row is not a follow-up schedule item. Anything on that line is a reason to see a doctor where you are, today, and to tell the clinic afterwards.
If a revision is needed, who pays for what
There is no single answer we can print here — it depends on the procedure, on what is found at the follow-up, and on how long after surgery it is. What we can do is tell you the rule that applies to your case before you book, in writing, so it is not a conversation you have for the first time after something has gone wrong.
Requests we can arrange in advance
A female surgeon or a female coordinator, dietary requirements, a companion staying with you through recovery, prayer times around your surgery schedule. These are arranged case by case, so tell us before you book rather than on the day.
Settle the plan before you settle the dates
An online session covers which procedure suits you, how long you need to stay and the cost range. It is a consultation and a plan — not a diagnosis. The plan is confirmed in person on the day you arrive.

Free, one-on-one, and nothing is decided until you are examined in person.
